京都工芸繊維大学ハプティクス研究室では，ヒト・ロボット・VRをつなぐ触覚インタフェース技術の開発，ヒト触知覚メカニズムの解明，触感のデザイン手法の構築，遠隔操縦支援技術の開発，などの研究を行っています．
ハプティクスは，ロボティクス，VR，心理学，アート・デザイン，感性工学などの多様な分野を横断する研究分野です．
