Boundary value problems for symmetric positive systems of first order PDEs |
| 講演要旨 |
With the aim of giving a suitable setting for studying mixed-type equations (e.g. the Tricomi equation) K.O. Friedrichs introduced positive symmetric systems of first order PDEs in 1958.
Nowadays, these systems are known as Friedrichs systems. They provide a unified framework for studying various types of PDEs.
This talk will contain a brief introduction, and develop boundary triples and extension theory, along with an application to Maxwell's equations.
