Some security advice to protect your computer before and after long term holidays

Generally, during long term vacation, such as the summer vacation, the possibility of the cyber-attack attempts, information/data leak, and viral infection will become much greater. So we highly recommend you should follow the instructions below;

Before holidays:
a) Shut down your computers of your lab if it’s not in use.
b) Update your antivirus program.
c) If you plan to take out your (especially confidential) data by using some devices, such USB, please be careful in handling it so that data link will NOT happen.

After holidays:
a) Update your antivirus program.
b) Probably you will receive huge amount of emails after holidays, so please be careful for spam mails, especially including attachment files. If you receive an email containing an unknown subject from an unknown sender, do NOT open it.
