Tetsuya
Ueda was born in Hyogo, Japan
in 1969. He received the B. E., M. E. and Ph. D degrees in communication
engineering from Osaka
University in 1992, 1994,
and 1997, respectively.
Since 1997, he has been with the Department of
Electronics, Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan, and currently an Assistant
Professor. From 2005 to 2006, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of
Electrical Engineering, University of California at Los
Angeles, USA.
His research interests include metamaterials and
their applications.
Dr. Ueda is a member of the IEEE, and a member
of the Institute
of Electronics,
Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE). Since 2008, he has been a
Secretary of the IEEE MTT-S Kansai Chapter. He received the 2008 IEEE MTT-S
Japan Chapter Young Engineer Award and the 1999 IEICE Young Engineer Award.
